Turin Castle - The Best of Scottish Country Living…
A (Virtual) conversation With Yvonne Corbett, Owner and Managing Director of Turin Castle
How did Turin Castle Come abOut?
It’s a long, exciting story! In a nutshell, we lived as expats for 23 years in Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Dubai and Cape Town before deciding it was time to return home to Scotland. 7 years ago, upon our return, we decided to buy Turin Castle and turn it into a wedding venue. After accommodating a group from California for nearly a month we knew in our hearts that hosting private groups was what we wanted to do. While we still do a limited number of Destination Weddings (and have several from the US this year including an Outlander themed wedding), we pivoted almost completely to private group trips. Today, Turin Castle is a 5-star, exclusive use venue in the heart of the Angus Glens in Scotland and we are proud to share it with our guests.
What Makes turin Different?
We act as hosts to our guests. We make a point of connecting with our guests before they arrive so that we understand them and can curate the perfect experiences for their time at Turin. We offer the opportunity for guests to meet local people who love what they do and enjoy sharing it. Nothing is impossible at Turin - we love a challenge!
what does a perfect day look like at Your Property?
Start your day by enjoying breakfast in the glass conservatory served by our butlers. Spend your morning in the gardens partaking in traditional Scottish Highland games followed by lunch at a local seafood restaurant. In the afternoon visit a clifftop castle or return to Turin for an interactive falconry display in the gardens. Don your full highland attire for a local gin tasting before attending your own personal Gala dinner. Afterward, enjoy story telling in the Whisky Cellar – ghost stories optional (we don’t have a resident ghost but many castles do!)
Do you have a famous menu item we can share with our clients?
We are famous for our cocktail haggis balls (we even had a group delay their private jet for one more round before they left)! We know, however, that it’s impossible to get haggis in the US so we’ve shared our famous Turintini cocktail recipe. It’s not Scottish per se, but we don’t like our malt whisky tampered with!
The Turintini recipe was created post a visit to our favorite restaurant in Indonesia!
The Turintini
Ingredients:
60ml Premium Vodka
52.5ml Crème de Cacao White
Melted Hershey’s Chocolate Ganache

2. Mix the vodka and crème de cacao in a cocktail shaker and stir over lots of ice.
3. Pour into the chocolate-rimmed Martini glass.
4. Drop in 1 chocolate kiss.
LUXE & NYx PICK - Stay at the castle!
Grab 10 of your closest friends and/or family and hop on a flight to Scotland for your stay at Turin Castle. We suggest staying put and letting us curate your itinerary around the property. When else can you say you’ve had exclusive use of a castle built in the 1600’s?! Fill your days with golf, falconry, fishing, and whisky tasting - quintessential Scottish activities - before reuniting with your loved ones for dinner in a separate part of the castle each night!
Luxe and nyx amenity -
After being met with a glass of bubbles or malt whisky, L&N clients will be given a book from the Turin library. We love books and there are books in every bedroom (mostly historical books) that we curate specifically for each stay. Our library is full of books starting from the 17th century and we are passionate about sharing this local history with your guests.
